The Challenge

The Solution

Virtua Computers began with a full assessment of the company’s existing workflow, devices, and security gaps. We quickly realized that the client wanted full control over their fleet, but also needed a management platform that was simple to use and easy to support without an internal IT team.

Based on those needs, we recommended SimpleMDM, the most straightforward mobile device management solution for Apple environments. Virtua guided the client from start to finish, including:

  • Enrolling devices in Apple Business Manager with federation to Microsoft accounts for seamless single sign-on.
  • Connecting Apple Business Manager to SimpleMDM and configuring all necessary integration pieces, including Device Enrollment tokens, Apps & Books token, and an APNS certificate.
  • Creating custom profiles for Wi-Fi, managed software updates, Home Screen layouts, and app restrictions.
  • Deploying Microsoft’s suite of productivity apps automatically to each device.
  • Establishing an ecommerce store for simple device purchasing and enrollment.

In total, 10 devices were deployed — a mix of iPads and iPhones — ensuring every field technician received a secure, standardized device configured instantly and without IT intervention.
